HOW MUCH ARE LESSONS?

The first lesson is a 30-minute trial lesson for FREE! If you're interested after the trial lesson, Jon offers monthly 30-minute and 60-minute packages for individuals and families. Please contact Jon at jon@astrasix.com for more information and to book your first session!

DOES ASTRA SIX PROVIDE IN-PERSON LESSONS?

No, unfortunately. Astra Six provides online lessons only through Skype or Zoom.

HOW ARE ONLINE LESSONS DIFFERENT FROM IN-PERSON LESSONS?

Online lessons provide convenience to students and parents with less travel involved and it gives students the ability to learn music from the comfort of their homes. Technology has played a tremendous role in music education over the years, and the lessons will create an in-person-like environment with technology geared for a better virtual learning experience.

HOW LONG SHOULD A BEGINNER MUSICIAN PRACTICE?

It depends. For most students, 30 minutes per day is ideal to get going with great results. However, some students prefer to work at their own pace with no time limit.

Jon recommends starting out on an 88-key digital piano. Some affordable digital pianos provide a close realistic experience that is a lot like playing a real acoustic piano. However, if your budget allows an upright or a grand piano, definitely go with that! Some beginner students also had great results with either a 61-key or 76-key keyboard.
